Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtra / Lotus Sutra

DESCRIPTION

The earliest known Sanskrit title for this sūtra is the Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtra, which can be translated as "the Scripture of the Lotus Blossom of the Subtle Dharma." In English, the shortened form Lotus Sūtra is more common. It has been one of the most celebrated of Mahāyāna Buddhist sutras since the medieval period and continues to have a popularity throughout East Asia. There are several English translations:
