Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra of Nāgārjuna

The Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra or Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa is a commentary on the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra attributed to Nāgārjuna. It serves as an encyclopedia of Mahayana Buddhist terminology and definitions. It was translated into Chinese by Kumarajiva c. 400 AD as the "Commentary on the Great Perfection of Wisdom" 大智度論, (T. 1509). One third of the Chinese was translated into French by Etienne Lamotte as Le Traité de la Grande Vertu de Sagesse, published in 1976. An English translation from Lamotte's French was completed by Gelongma Karma Migme Chodron as "The Treatise on the Great Virtue of Wisdom", and Bhiksu Dharmamitra has also translated sections of this work into English, including chapters 17-30 (Nagarjuna on the Six Perfections, Kalavinka press, 2008) and a collection of 130 stories and anecdotes extracted from the text (Marvelous Stories from the Perfection of Wisdom, Kalavinka press, 2008).
