PART ONE - Introduction to the Four Foundations of Mindfulness

  • Body (kāya)
  • Sensations (vedanā)
  • Mind-states (citta)
  • Principles (dharma)

Part Two - Mindfulness of the Body

  • Breath (ānāpāna) - mindful of breathing in & out, long or short, experiencing the whole body
  • Posture - mindful while walking, standing, sitting, and lying down
    • Contemplating the body in terms of internal/external, its arising/vanishing, or both
  • Full body awareness - complete mindful awareness of body, its parts, and their functioning
  • Elements - awareness of the body in terms of Earth, Water, Fire and Air
