荼字門,諸法荼字淨故

ḌA is a gateway due to the terror (ḍāmara) of all dharmas being purified.

- Kumarajiva

入荼字門,悟一切法離熱矯穢得清淨故

- Xuanzang

拏(上)字門一切法怨敵不可得故

ḌA is a gateway because the terror (dāmara) of all dharmas cannot be grasped.

- Amoghavajra

ḌA - that the tumult (ḍamara डमर) of all dharmas has vanished;

- Conze

ḌA is an opening because of the absence of tumult (ḍama डम) in all mental phenomena (dharmas).
